I have been studying, living, and loving yoga and meditation for over 12 years. Since my first time on the mat at 17 years old, these practices have brought me deep peace and self-acceptance in the face of all manner of body-image struggles, depression, and life's general ups and downs. Practicing to me feels like breathing a huge sigh of relief.
I am a 500-hour Certified/Registered Yoga Teacher with additional certifications in kids' & teens yoga, yin yoga, Balanced Athlete(R), and mindfulness meditation. I focus on creating safe, accessible, and empowering classes that provide whatever space the student needs in that moment, from strong vinyasa flow to grounding restorative sequences.
I am honored to be a part of the 2019-21 Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program, studying with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach to hone my meditation teaching skills and bring this powerful practice to as many people as I can.
My intention is for my students to leave class feeling stronger and better equipped to handle the ups and downs of daily life with a little more steadiness and ease. Teaching mindfulness has been a dream of mine since my first class, and it is an honor to bring these practices to others.
Outside of yoga, I hold a Bachelor's degree in English and a Master's of Liberal Arts in Food Studies & Food Policy. I am a dogmom of a sweet and stubborn Westie named Amelia, an avid traveler, and a card-carrying introvert.
